Be a Volunteer Teacher

Instilling Goodness/Developing Virtue Schools at the City of Ten Thousand Buddhas are looking for volunteer teachers to teach the following classes during the 2006-07 school year:

Needs for Girls School

• 1st-2nd grade Girls Core Teacher: Teach reading, language arts, math, science/social studies, and possibly art/PE/Chinese/Meditation/Virtue Studies to a class of 8-12 girls of diverse backgrounds. Requirements: teaching experience, teacher training, preferably credentialed or working towards credential, good health and lots of energy
• 3rd-4th Grade Girls Core Teacher: Teach reading, language arts, math, science/social studies, and possibly art/PE/Chinese/Meditation/Virtue Studies to a class of 8-12 girls of diverse backgrounds. Requirements: teaching experience, teacher training, preferably credentialed or working towards credential, good health and lots of energy
• High School English teacher: ESL (English as a Second Language Teacher), Math teachers / tutors
  

Needs for Boys School

• Kindergarten-2nd grade core teacher (Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies)
• Dorm aides
